Purpose Seekers Fellowship

The Purpose Seekers Bible Class was formed in 2004 after a church-wide study of “The Purpose Driven Life” book.  Our small group was inspired to continue to grow in our Christian faith by forming a new Sunday School class.   Our curriculum has been as varied as our group.  We recently completed a study of Romans and a study of the Old Testament and New Testament.  We welcome anyone seeking to learn more about God’s word and our walk in faith.  We meet in the basement at the bottom of the east stairway.
Faithful Followers
The Faithful Followers adult Bible class meets in the Church Library on the main floor.  We are a diverse group of singles and couples interested in studying God’s Word.  The teachers, Becky Wedekind and Rose Beard, function as facilitators who guide the discussion.
Our classroom environment is open and relaxed, emphasizing interaction and group discussion.  We use our time together to build and strengthen relationships within our group, to pray for people, and to study God’s Word.
We have recently studied "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren, the Alpha program and the book “The Shack”.
Men’s Class
The Men's Sunday School class is an informal class compromised of men most of whom came to faith after their youth.  We meet after the 9:00 a.m. Contemporary worship service on Sunday mornings.  Since its inception in 2005, we have studied The Old Testament in depth, John Eldridge's book "Wild at Heart", C.S. Lewis' "Screwtape Letters," "The Christ Commission," “What’s So Amazing About Grace” and various studies from Pastor Ray Pritchard.  In 2009 we plan to study “The Jesus I Never Knew” by Phillip Yancey and/or “More Than a Carpenter” by Josh McDowell. The class is led by Brian Patton. We meet on the top floor, center room, west end.
